“From the time I first held a pencil in my hand, I have been interested in art. At an early age I was given a set of oil paints by my parents.”
I am a retired school teacher. I was always able to work art into my classes. I have nine grandchildren, and I paint with them when they come to visit.
I have worked with drawing, watercolors, acrylics, mixed media, and oils. Now I work mainly with oils and acrylics. I prefer painting realistic subjects, such as landscapes, birds, animals, still lifes and people.
Much of my inspiration comes from spending time in the North Georgia mountains. Working weekly with a wonderful group of artists in Suches, Georgia keeps me motivated.”
