Jennifer Ferris is a mixed media artist, creating vibrant paintings using a mixture of collage and acrylic paint. She starts many of her paintings by first creating a textured surface using recycled materials, such as old fabric scraps and ground-up wine corks.
She is a self-proclaimed “pack-rat”, and loves the idea of being able to take materials that would otherwise be discarded, and turning them in to a work of art. Her contemporary style combines elements of realism with abstraction.
She is a self-taught artist, from a family of talented artists, including her mom, brother, and grandmother.
